Parliament, Wednesday, 4 September 2024 Deputy President Paul Mashatile will be in the National Assembly (NA) tomorrow (Thursday), 5 September 2024, for oral replies to questions by Members of the House.

Questions to the Deputy President cover a range of matters that include:

• Progress made with the ongoing interventions to address water challenges in prioritised areas;

• The impact of the conflict in Sudan on the peace and stability of the region, and what measures did South Africa, through the African Union, undertake to bring about peace and stability in Sudan

• Measures that will be taken to prevent loss of life following the unprecedented and dramatic surge of fatal shootings between police and alleged criminals, mainly in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.

In the National Council of Provinces tomorrow, ministers in Cluster1C: Peace and Security, which include the Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, will answer oral questions.


The questions will address, among others, digitisation of identity document applications, measures to combat xenophobia and advancing human rights through the South African Development Community (SADC).
