Parliament, Friday, 01 September 2017 – The Portfolio Committee on Communications has concluded the three-day interviews of 34 shortlisted candidates for the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
It has, however, deferred deliberations and taking a decision on who will be recommended to fill the twelve Non-Executive Board positions at the public broadcaster.
“We had fruitful engagements with the candidates and are confident that all of them combined possess a set of various expertise required at the Board, said Mr Humphrey Maxegwana, Chairperson of the Committee.
The Committee will deliberate and take a decision on Tuesday, 5 September 2017.
