Parliament, Friday, 3 April 2020 – The Portfolio Committee on Health has welcomed the launch of the 67 mobile units by Minister Zweli Mkhize on Wednesday, which will be used for Covid-19 testing and sampling.
Committee Chairperson, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, said the mobile units will assist in areas where communities are unable to access healthcare centres for screening, and to respond to the increase of Covid-19.
“The mobile units will enable the testing of the most vulnerable patients, and to alleviate the traffic in hospitals”, said Dr Dhlomo.
