Parliament, Wednesday, 31 January 2018 – The Portfolio Committee on Water and Sanitation will today assess the state of waste water treatment plants within the Gert Sibande District Municipality.

The Committee will also probe the level of water supply to the people within the district. Furthermore, the Committee will get a briefing on drought interventions in the area. The Committee will meet representatives from Gert Sibande, Lekwa, Dipaleseng and Pixley Ka Seme local municipalities.

Following the morning engagement, the Committee will visit the Amersfoort Waste Water Treatment Plant and Lekwa Waste Water Treatment Plant.
