Parliament, Sunday, 5 July 2020 – The Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts and Culture has learnt with shock of the passing of the prominent play writer, Mr Welcome Msomi.
The Chairperson of the committee, Ms Beauty Dlulane, said the committee sends its heartfelt condolences to the Msomi family, friends and the entire arts community. On Saturday, 4 July 2020, the committee learnt with sadness of the passing of veteran actor, Ms Mary Twala.
“The arts sector will forever be poorer for the loss of these luminaries, one after another within hours. They depart with rich experience of many years which is irreplaceable,” said Ms Dlulane.
