Parliament, Monday, 11 March 2019 – The Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will tomorrow receive a progress report from the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on the implementation of the recommendations of the Harris Nupen Molebatsi and Emang Basadi forensic reports.

The committee will receive reports from the Interdepartmetnal Task Team on the implementation of the Food and Nutrition Security Policy and the establishment of the Food Control Agency – and on addressing challenges facing the poultry industry.

Also, the committee will receive a report from the Marine Living Resources Fund on the implementation of the Audit Action Plan on issues raised by the Auditor-General. The department will reflect on the Internal Audit Committee’s recommendations on conditional grants.
