Parliament, Thursday, 20 February 2020 – The Ad Hoc Committee to Initiate and Introduce Legislation Amending Section 25 of the Constitution wishes to remind the public to send in written submissions, which are still open to the public. The deadline for written submissions is 29 February 2020.
Committee Chairperson Dr Mathole Motshekga said the committee has adopted its revised draft programme for the public hearings that it intends to hold across South Africa. A copy of the draft programme can be found on: https://tinyurl.com/sn65mag
Public hearings are set to start next week, on Friday, 28 February 2020, in Mpumalanga and the Free State. The committee will travel in two groups in order to listen to as many members of the public as possible.
Dr Motshekga further alerted the public to the fact that submissions can also be sent via WhatsApp on 081 410 5932.
