Ms Dorries Eunice Dlakude became a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly since February 2010, she served in two Portfolio Committees, Transport and Human Settlements, from February 2010 to June 2013.
CURRENT POSITION
Deputy Chief Whip of the Majority Party in Parliament, a position she held since the 20th of June 2013 to date. She served under the leadership of three Chief Whips, Hon. Stone Sizani, Hon. Jackson Mthembu and the current Chief Whip, Hon. Pemmy Majodina.

Ms Dorries Eunice Dlakude is currently serving a second term in the Provincial Executive Committee( PEC ) of the ANC. She served two terms in the Provincial Executive Committee of the ANC Women’s League( ANCWL) . She served in regional structures and also the held a position of Treasurer of the ANC Youth League of the eHlanzeni region. She served for six terms as the Branch Secretary of the ANC of NK W. 11, Hoyi/Goba branch. She also served as a Ward Committee Member for two terms, serve as a School Governing Body (SGB) Chairperson at Sophungane High School. She also served for two terms as a Board Member for Tonga hospital at Nkomazi area.
