JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing integrated support in access control, personnel security, and asset protection through the effective use of security systems, administrative processes, and coordination of accreditation and vetting functions within a high-security parliamentary environment.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Access control of authorised persons
  • Internal movement control.
  • Permit Office Management and Personnel Security
  • Protection of assets
  • Events Security & Accreditation process
  • Disaster management  

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST HAVE:

  • This position requires a minimum qualification of Grade 12/ NQF Level 4 with Security Certificates. 
  • Must have the minimum security clearance
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

IN ADDITION, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMOSTRATE THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND JOB-RELATED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic understanding of security systems and technology (access control, CCTV)
  • Administrative, data capturing and planning skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify irregularities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Ms Publisher
