JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the upkeep of Parliament's precincts, including general housekeeping services and related activities that would support effective and efficient facilities management.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Office and furniture relocation
- Building upkeep tasks
- Cleaning and Hygiene Services
- Health, Safety and Compliance.
To qualify, you must have:
- Grade 12/ NQF Level 4, with a relevant technical certification will be advantageous
- with 2 years’ relevant experience.
In Addition, You Should Be Able to Demonstrate the Following Special Requirements and Job-Related Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to follow schedules and instruction
- Knowledge and application experience using maintenance tools and equipment.
- (Allen key, screwdrivers, drills, hammers, pliers, plungers, glue, wrench etc)
- Understanding of essential building maintenance and requirement
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards
- Be physically fit to bend, lift and move heavy objects between offices and buildings
- Willingness to work flexible and extra-ordinary hours when required
- Ability to work under pressure and able to adapt to a changing environment
- Ability to climb stepladders and clear heights of up 3.5 meters
