Have Your Say: 2026 Revised Fiscal Framework and Revenue Proposals (Medium Term Budget Policy Statement) [MTBPS]
The Standing Committee on Finance and the Select Committee on Finance invites stakeholders and interested parties to submit written submissions on the 2026 Revised Fiscal Framework and Revenue Proposals that will be tabled on 21 October 2026 with the MTBPS.
The Minister of Finance (the Minister) will table the 2026 Medium Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) before Parliament on 21 October 2026 in terms of section 28 of the Public Finance Management Act 1 of 1999 (PFMA). This requires the Minister to table multi-year budget projections for revenue, expenditure and key macro-economic projections on an annual basis. The Minister will also meet his obligation under section 6(1) of the Money Bills Amendment Procedure and Related Matters Act 9 of 2009 that requires the Minister to submit to Parliament the MTBPS.
Public hearings will be held virtually on Wednesday, 28 October 2026.
Written submissions, together with an indication of whether you wish to make an oral presentation, must be received by 12:00 on Monday, 26 October 2026.
