Have Your Say: Second Special Appropriation Bill (2025/26 Financial Year) Bill, 2026
The Standing Committee on Appropriations invites stakeholders and interested parties to make written submissions on the Second Special Appropriation (2025/26 financial year) Billreferred to it by the Minister of Finance on 04 August 2026.
The Bill appropriates additional amount of money for the requirements of the Vote of Mineral and Petroleum Resources for the Equalisation Fund in the Central Energy Fund, authorised in terms of section 16 of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999, for the 2025/26 financial year, and to provide for matters connected therewith.
Public hearings will be conducted on a virtual platform on Wednesday, 30 September 2026 from 9H00 to 13H00. Members of the public and interested stakeholders are invited to the public hearings to make oral submission or send
written submission on the Bill.
Submissions must be directed to the Committee Secretaries, Mr Mashile Maubane, by e-mail at amaubane@parliament. gov.za and Mr Denver Woodington at dwoodington@parlliament.gov.za. The closing date to make submissions or to indicate your intention to make an oral presentation is Monday, 29 September 2026 at 15:00. Copy of the Bill is available on www.treasury.gov.za or www.parliament.gov.za.
