Have Your Say: Extradition Bill [B14-2026]

The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development is currently considering the Extradition Bill [B14 – 2026]. The committee invites interested parties/stakeholders to make written submissions on the bill. The purpose of the Extradition Bill to provide for the extradition of persons accused or convicted of certain offences in the Republic of South Africa and foreign States; to provide for the surrender of persons accused or convicted of certain crimes to international entities; to provide for measures to ensure compliance with the international obligations of the Republic of South Africa insofar as it relates to extradition; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.

Written submissions must be received by no later than 12h00 on 24 July 2026. Please indicate if you would be interested in making an oral submission before the Committee.
