Have Your Say: South African Judicial Education Institute Amendment Bill [B26-2025]
The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development is currently considering the South African Judicial Education Institute Amendment Bill [B26 – 2025]. The committee invites interested parties/stakeholders to make written submissions on the bill. The purpose of the South African Judicial Education Institute Amendment Bill is to amend the South African Judicial Education Institute Act, 2008, so as to provide for the appointment of a Dean; to provide for the powers and duties of the Dean; to amend the title of Director to Executive Director; to further regulate the appointment, powers and duties of the Executive Director; to provide for the reimbursement of members of the Council for subsistence and travelling expenses; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
Written submissions must be received by no later than 12h00 on 24 July 2026. Please indicate if you would be interested in making an oral submission before the Committee.
