Have Your Say: International Cooperation in Criminal Matters Amendment Bill [B18-2025]

The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development is currently considering the International Cooperation in Criminal Matters Amendment Bill [B18 – 2025]. The committee invites interested parties/stakeholders to make written submissions on the bill.

The purpose of the International Cooperation in Criminal Matters Amendment Bill is to amend the International Co-operation in Criminal Matters Act, 1996, so as to insert certain definitions; to facilitate the provision of evidence to an entity in order to ensure that South Africa complies with its international obligations; to provide for evidence by means of audio-visual link; and to provide for matters incidental there to.

Written submissions must be received by no later than 12h00 on 24 July 2026. Please indicate if you would be interested in making an oral submission before the Committee.
