Have Your Say: 2026 Appropriation Bill
The Standing Committee on Appropriations invites stakeholders and interested parties to make written submissions on the 2026 Appropriation Bill (the Bill) [B4 2026] which was tabled together with the 2026/2027 Budget by the Minister of Finance on 25 February 2026.
The Money Bills Amendment Procedure and Related Matters Amendment Act, No 13 of 2018, requires Parliament to conduct public hearings and to report on the Bills before it. The Appropriation Bill seeks to appropriate money from the National Revenue Fund for the requirements of the State for the 2026/27 financial year; to prescribe conditions for the spending of funds withdrawn for the 2027/28 financial year before the commencement of the Appropriation Act for the 2027/28 financial year; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.
Members of the public are invited to the public hearings to make oral submissions or send written submissions on the Bill Public hearings which will be conducted at Parliament on Wednesday, 03 June 2026 at Committee Room M 46 Marks Building Ground Floor, from 9H00 to 12:30.

The closing date to make submissions or indicate your intention to make an oral presentation is 15:00 on Monday, 01 June 2026.
