Have Your Say: Appropriation Bill [B4-2026]
The Select Committee on Appropriations (National Council of Provinces) invites stakeholders and interested parties to make written and/or oral submissions on the Appropriation Bill [B4 – 2026]. The Bill was tabled together with the 2026 National Budget by the Minister of Finance on 25 February 2026. The Money Bills and Related Matters Act, No 13 of 2018, requires Parliament to conduct public hearings and to report on all Bills.
The Bill seeks to appropriate money from the National Revenue Fund for the requirements of the State for the 2026/27 financial year; to prescribe conditions for the spending of funds withdrawn for the 2027/28 financial year before the commencement of the Appropriation Act for 2027/28; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.
The closing date to make written submissions or indicate your intention to make an oral presentation is at 16:00 on Monday, 08 June 2026. Public hearings on the Bill will be conducted virtually by the Select Committee on Appropriations on Wednesday, 10 June 2026 at 09:00.
