Have Your Say: Special Appropriation Bill [B36-2018]

The Standing and Select Committees on Appropriations invite stakeholders and interested parties to make written submissions on the Special Appropriation Bill [B36-2018]. The Bill was tabled by the Minister of Finance together with the 2018 Medium Term Budget Policy Statement on 24 October 2018.

The Money Bills Amendment Procedure and Related Matters Act, No. 9 of 2009 requires Parliament to conduct public hearings and to report on the Special Appropriation Bill. This Bill provides for the appropriation of an additional amount of money for the requirements of the Department of Public Enterprises to settle the debt obligations of the South African Airways SOC Limited (SAA); and to provide for matters connected therewith.

Public Hearings will be conducted in Parliament on Friday, 23 November 2018. Written Submissions must be received by no later than 12:00 on Tuesday, 20 November 2018.
