Have Your Say: Independent Municipal Demarcation Authority Bill [B14B-2022]
The Chairperson of the Select Committee on Cooperative Governance and Public Administration (Traditional Affairs, Water, Sanitation & Human Settlements), Hon TM Kaunda hereby invites members of the public, interested parties and stakeholders to make comments or inputs on the above-mentioned Bill.
The purpose of the Bill is:
To provide for the establishment, functions, and powers of the Independent Municipal Demarcation Authority: To provide for the criteria and procedures for the determination and redetermination of municipal boundaries: To provide for the delimitation of ward: To provide for the establishment of the Demarcation Appeals Authority: To provide for the municipal capacity assessment and to provide for matters incidental hereto.
Interested individuals and groups wishing to comment are kindly requested to forward written submissions to the Committee by no later than 30 June 2025. Members of the public and stakeholders who wish to obtain copies of the legislation may contact the Government Printers nearer or the Committee Secretary on the contact numbers indicated below.
