Have Your Say: Immigration Amendment Bill [B 8 – 2024]
The Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs invites stakeholders, interested persons and parties to make written submissions on the Immigration Amendment Bill [B 8 – 2024] that was tabled before Parliament on 5 April 2024.
The purpose of the Bills is:
To amend the Immigration Act, 2002, so as to revise provisions relating to the arrest and detention of illegal foreigners for purposes of deportation and to align these provisions with constitutional principles; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
The deadline for submissions is 22 November 2024 at 16:00. A copy of the bill can be found at the Parliament website.
