The Select Committee on Education and Technology, Sports, Arts and Culture invites all stakeholders and interested individuals to submit written comments on the South African Institute for Drug Free Sport Amendment Bill [B 41B-2023]

The purpose of the Bill is to update and amend various provisions of the principal Act in order to remedy the noncompliance and address the issues identified by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA); amend some of the provisos in some of the provisions of the principal Act so as to make those provisos to be separate provisions themselves concerning some of the matters provided for in the Code and to make the principal Act user friendly; and ensure that South Africa does not only have a Statute that implements the Code, but also a Statute that is consistent with the Code.
