Submissions and Public Hearings
The Standing Committee on Appropriations (National Assembly) invites stakeholders and interested parties to make written and/or oral submissions on the 2023 Second Adjustments Appropriation (2022/23 financial year) Bill. The said Bill was tabled with the 2023/24 national budget by the Minister of Finance on 22 February 2023. The Money Bills Amendment Procedure and Related Matters Amendment Act, Act No 13 of 2018 requires Parliament to conduct public hearings and to report on all Bills.
The Second Adjustments Appropriation (2022/23 financial year) Bill seeks to effect adjustments to the appropriation of money from the National Revenue Fund for expenditure approved in the 2022/23 financial year; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
Public hearings on the Bill will be conducted via virtual media platforms by the Standing Committee on Appropriations on Wednesday, 14 March 2023. The closing date to make submissions or indicate your intention to make an oral presentation is at 16:00 on Thursday, 9 March 2023.
