Have Your Say: 2020 Revised Fiscal Framework and Revenue Proposals (Special Adjustment Budget 2020)

Call for Public Submissions and Comments

The Standing Committee on Finance and the Select Committee on Finance invite stakeholders and interested parties to submit written submissions on the 2020 Revised Fiscal Framework and Revenue Proposals that will be tabled on 24 June 2020. 

The Minister of Finance (the Minister) will table the proposed 2020 special adjustment budget before Parliament on 24 June 2020. In tabling the adjustment budget, the Minister will meet his obligation under section 30 of the Public Finance Management Act 1 of 1999 (PFMA). In addition to that, the Minister will also meet his obligation under section 12(1) of the Money Bills Amendment Procedure and Related Matters Act 9 of 2009 that requires the Minister to submit to Parliament the National Adjustment Budget.

Submissions must be received by no later than 12:00 on Tuesday, 30 June 2020. 

Those who want to make submissions at public hearings on Wednesday, 01 July 2020 should specifically request this. These hearings will be conducted through MS Teams.
