LEGISLATIVE SECTOR SUPPORT

The successful candidate will provide innovative and effective alignment and enhancement of SA Legislative Institutions (Parliament & Provincial Legislatures) as the SA Legislative Sector (SALS).

Key Performance Areas Include: 

  • Managing the strategic and business planning, implementation of LSS and SALS mandate 
  • Developing and facilitating implementation of the policy frameworks of SALS 
  • Promoting and facilitating innovative content development and shared learning within SA Legislative Sector 
  • Managing and maintaining effective institutional partnerships 
  • Financial and administrative management 
  • Human resources management 
  • Management reporting.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Relevant 4 year Degree/Honours and 8 years’ experience of which 5 years must be at a senior level.

Skills Requirements: 

  • Public Finance and budgeting management principles and processes 
  • MS Office suite and Ms Project 
  • Knowledge of the legislative framework 
  • HR practices and processes 
  • Sensitivities within the political environment 
  • Knowledge of administrative, executive and legislative processes 
  • Knowledge of prevailing social political issues in SA 
  • Project management practice 
  • Strategic planning and decision making 
  • Leadership, facilitation and presentation skills 
  • Research and report writing 
  • Analysis and problem solving.
