Parliament is elected to represent the people, ensure government by the people under the Constitution and to represent the provinces under the national sphere of government.
LANGUAGE SERVICES SECTION
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reporting (Hansard), translations and/or interpreting services.
Key Performance Areas Include:
- Checking
- Reporting
- Interpreting
- Proofreading
- Terminology development
- Mentoring.
Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 or NQF Level 4, a relevant Degree or Diploma and 3 years’ relevant experience.
Skills Requirements:
- Proficiency in English and the language of the post applied for
- Sound communication skills (oral and written)
- Computer literacy (Ms Word, Ms Outlook and Ms Excel)
- Willingness to work long hours
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in executing the responsibilities of the post.

Successful candidates must sign a performance agreement annually.
