Parliament, Sunday, 26 March 2017 – The Portfolio Committee Public Service and Administration/Monitoring and Evaluation will this week undertake an oversight visit to Mpumalanga and Limpopo to assess the effectiveness and quality of service delivery rendered to the people.

The aim of the visit is to assess the adherence and effectiveness of the public administration as enshrined in section 195 of the Constitution. The Committee will also assess how the three spheres of government deliver services in a coordinated manner to ensure the implementation of the strategic plans of government departments.

To achieve the aims of this oversight, the Committee will undertake unannounced visits to various service sites to monitor service delivery. The first two days of the visit will focus on sites in Mpumalanga, while the latter days will focus on service delivery in Limpopo.
