Parliament, Tuesday, 17 March 2020 – The Select Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Water and Sanitation will tomorrow, Wednesday 18 March 2020, continue with its oversight visit in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, to assess the conditions that led to the invocation of Section 139 (2)(a)(ii) of the Constitution by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

Tomorrow’s visit will focus on interactions with the external stakeholders such as organised business, community representatives and all the stakeholders that are directly affected by the intervention.

The committee today engaged all political parties that are represented in the council, the MEC for CoGTA and the labour unions that exist in the municipality.
