Parliament, Thursday 09 January 2020 – The Presiding Officers of Parliament are shocked to learn about the senseless shooting, during an attempted robbery on Tuesday night, of Mr. Cameron Mackenzie – who is a Member of Parliament representing the Democratic Alliance in the National Assembly.
Mr. Mackenzie sustained a gun-shot wound to the shoulder during this brazen attack outside his complex and he was rushed to a hospital in Johannesburg where he is currently recovering following surgery.
Parliament wishes him a speedy recovery.
We implore the police to spare no effort in bringing to book the perpetrators of this senseless attack.
