Wednesday, 17 May 2017- Two committee meetings and another five more budget vote debates are among issues scheduled for Thursday.

A meeting of the Portfolio Committee on Environmental Affairs, scheduled for 8.30, will consider and adopt its report on the Environmental Affairs Budget Vote. The Portfolio Committee on Trade and Industry, meeting from 14.30 to 18.00, will consider agreements and legislation.

Three of the five budget vote debates tomorrow are scheduled from 14.00 to about 16.00 in different mini plenary sittings of the National Assembly:

  • Human Settlements (Vote 38)
  • Small Business Development (Vote 31)
  • Statistics South Africa (Vote 12)

The remaining two budget vote debates for the day are scheduled for mini plenary sittings of the Assembly from about 16.15 to about 18.15:

  • Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Vote 4)
  • Justice and Constitutional Development (Vote 21)

Six budget vote debates took place on Tuesday (Science and Technology; Public Works; State Security; Higher Education and Training; Health; Mineral Resources) and four have been scheduled for today (Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation; Correctional Services; Office of the Chief Justice and Judicial Administration; Home Affairs)
