Saturday, 12 August 2017 – National Assembly Speaker Ms Baleka Mbete will today speak at the funeral service in Boschfontein near Malalane, Mpumalanga, for the late Mr Timothy Khoza, an African National Congress Member of Parliament (MP), who lost his life on duty as a result of a tragic car accident on 2 August 2017. Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Basic Education in which the late Mr Khoza served as a member, was conducting an oversight programme visiting various schools in Paarl, Western Cape when the tragic historic incident occurred.
