Parliament, Tuesday, 26 November 2024 – The Chairperson Portfolio Committee on Higher Education, Mr Tebogo Letsie, congratulates the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) for his win at the 2024 Chief Financial Officer awards.
Mr Innocent Gumbochuma won in the 2024 Public Sector CFO category. The awards, dubbed South Africa’s Oscars of Finance, recognise and celebrate excellence among finance executives.
The annual ceremony highlights and promotes outstanding financial leadership, innovation and strategic management by honouring those who have made significant contributions to their organisations and the broader business community.
Mr Letsie said, “This is an example of what we want replicated everywhere in the sector and Mr Innocent Gumbochuma is a good example of what we want to see from public sector CFOs and, indeed, from the post-school education and training sector.”
