Parliament, Monday, 3 May 2021 – The Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises will from tomorrow conduct an oversight visit to Transnet operations in Cape Town. It will visit Transnet Freight Rail and Transnet Engineering in Bellville and Port of Cape Town in the Cape Town Harbour.
The purpose of the oversight visit to the operations includes, among other things, to assess the impact of the infrastructure building programme and developmental initiatives implemented to advance the objectives of the government. The committee will also use the opportunity of the visit to familiarise itself with operations of the different divisions of Transnet.
