Parliament, Thursday, 2 February 2023 – The Portfolio Committee on Forestry, Fisheries and Environment will from tomorrow visit Mpumalanga Province to conduct public hearings on the Climate Change Bill.

The objective of the bill is to enable the development of an effective climate change response and a long-term, just transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy and society for South Africa in the context of sustainable development.

The committee invites all interested citizens and organisations to attend the public hearings and comment on the Climate Change Bill.
