Parliament, Thursday, 3 September 2020 – The Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) will tomorrow interact on the state of Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality with: MEC of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (briefing on the status all municipalities under S139 in the province); Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality; Office of the Auditor-General; South African Local Government Association (SALGA) and the Department of Cooperative Governance.
The committee will also meet with Lekwa Local Municipality, MEC of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (briefing on the status all municipalities under S139 in the province); Office of the Auditor-General; South African Local Government Association (SALGA) and Department of Cooperative Governance, which will be followed by the finalisation of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Amendment Bill [B2-2019].
