Parliament, Monday 20 June 2022 – Parliament will tomorrow, Tuesday 21 June, host a virtual Women's Charter for Accelerated Development Report Back Session, and a virtual National Council of Provinces (NCOP) plenary to consider motions and reports, and debate the Provincial Week report.

The Women’s Charter Report Back Session will host the Eastern Cape Province from 9 am until 3 pm. In the past two years, Parliament embarked on nationwide provincial 1994 Women's Charter Review sessions that were mainly aimed at taking stock of the progress made in implementing the 1994 Women's Charter for Effective Equality and assessing its impact since the advent of freedom and democracy.

So far, North-west, Limpopo and Gauteng provinces have held their report-back sessions.

At 2 pm, the NCOP virtual plenary sitting will consider motions and reports of the Select Committee on Security and Justice. The plenary will also debate the report of the Provincial Week oversight programme held between 29 March and 01 April 2022.
