Parliament, Monday, 9 May 2022 – The National Assembly (NA) will tomorrow, hold virtual mini plenaries on Budget Vote debates for Statistics South Africa and Departments of Human Settlements, Health, and Small Business Development.

Budget Vote debates are part of the Budget process. After the Minister of Finance has delivered the Budget, each Parliamentary Committee holds hearings on the Budget Vote for its department wherein the Committee asks the Department what it plans to achieve with its budget and can also check whether the Department kept the promises it made for the previous year and whether it spent the taxpayers’ money properly.
