Parliament, Monday 30 August 2021 – The National Assembly (NA) will hold a debate on Women’s Day tomorrow under the theme “Advancing gender equality through inclusive economic growth and the precepts of a capable developmental state”.

The National Assembly will also consider the following reports:

  • Report of Portfolio Committee on Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities on Filling of vacancies for the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) Board
  • Report of Portfolio Committee on Communications on 2019/20 annual reports and financial statements of South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), South African Post Office (SAPO), Universal Access Agency of South Africa (USAASA) and Universal Service Access Fund (USAF)
  • Report of Portfolio Committee on Communications on 2020/21 second-quarter performance and expenditure report of Department of Communications and Digital Technologies

Meanwhile, the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will hold a ministerial briefing session on the Vaccination Programme tomorrow, themed: “Progress on the Expansion and Acceleration of the Vaccination Programme”. The Minister of Health, Dr Joe Phaahla, will provide a national overview whilst MEC’s will bring Provincial and Municipal perspectives.
