Parliament, Wednesday, 09 August 2017 – The Portfolio Committee on Rural Development and Land Reform will tomorrow host the next leg of the nationwide public hearings on the Communal Property Associations Amendment Bill [B12-2017] in Tzaneen, Limpopo.

The Bill is intended to remedy some of the challenges that have been identified in the implementation of the principal Act, which was passed in 1996. This is to ensure that CPAs function effectively to ensure success of land reform projects.

The Committee will hold hearings in all provinces to enable extensive contributions from communities affected by the Act.
