Parliament, Tuesday, 06 November 2018 – The Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs will today consider various issues that fall within its oversight portfolio. Due to an extensive agenda and the scheduled National Assembly sitting, the committee has decided to hold a morning and afternoon session in order to complete its work.

The morning session will be dedicated to receiving a briefing and consideration of the Civil Union Amendment Bill [B11-2018]. Also to be considered is a Motion of Desirability on the Electoral Amendment Bill [B24-2018].

In the afternoon, the Minister of Home Affairs will brief the committee on the agreement between the Department of Home Affairs and Fireblade Aviation on the private terminal at OR Tambo International Airport. The committee will also receive a report on litigation against the Department of Home Affairs.
