Parliament, Monday, 06 March 2017 – The Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs will tomorrow (Tuesday, 07 March 2017) be briefed by the Deputy Minister, Mr Andries Nel, on progress made in the implementation of the Community Work Programme (CWP) and action taken to address identified weaknesses.

The primary purpose of the CWP is to create access to a minimum level of regular and predictable work opportunities targeting areas of high unemployment. The programme intends to have assisted one million participants by 2019.
