Parliament, Tuesday, 05 May 2015 - The Joint Committee on Ethics and Members' Interests will tomorrow deliberate on a date by which Members of Parliament should declare their registrable interests.

In 2014, The 5th Parliament adopted a new Code of Ethical Conduct and Disclosure of Members' Interests for Assembly and Council Members. Unlike the old code of conduct where MPs were obliged to declare within 30 days of opening of Parliament, the new code states that MPs' disclosure must be within 60 days of the opening of Parliament or 60 days of the appointment of a Member who was not a Member at the opening of Parliament.
