Parliament, Wednesday, 10 May 2017 – The Portfolio Committee on Arts and Culture congratulates Mr Trevor Noah for winning the Best Host Award at the 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards. His achievements continue to be an inspiration to young South Africans hoping to succeed in a career in the arts.
“Mr Noah’s achievement is testament to the fact that Africans, in general, and South Africans, in particular, have the ability and resilience to make it in a competitive international arena. His achievements are a motivation for the youth to continue working hard in pursuit of their dreams,” said Ms Xoliswa Tom, the Chairperson of the Committee.
The Committee encourages Mr Noah to soar to new heights and continue with his good work.
