Parliament, Wednesday, 4 October 2017 – The Portfolio Committee on Rural Development and Land Reform will tomorrow receive a briefing from Member of Parliament, Mr Pumzile Mnguni, on the Restitution of Land Rights Amendment Bill.

This is a private Members’ Bill in response to the Constitutional Court Judgement on Lamosa (Land Access Movement of South Africa) which declared that Parliament failed to satisfy its obligation to facilitate public involvement in accordance with the Constitution. It seeks to reopen the lodgement of land claims.
