Parliament, Tuesday, 7 August 2018 – The Ad Hoc Committee to inquire into the Intervention in the North West Provincial Government in terms of section 100 of the Constitution met today to receive a consolidated report from the content adviser and researchers of the committee. The report includes the submission by the Inter-Ministerial Task Team (IMTT), submissions by the North West Provincial Government, diagnostic analysis by the National Treasury and Auditor-General of South Africa, committee observations, guiding principles and the way forward.

The committee is scheduled to receive a comprehensive update by the IMTT on progress on the intervention next week on Thursday, 16 August 2018. The committee will also conduct an oversight visit in the North West province and will hold further engagements with other stakeholders in the province.
