PORTFOLIO COMMITTEE ON AGRICULTURE, LAND REFORM AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT ON AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT STANDARDS AMENDMEND BILL [B15 – 2021]
In line with Parliament’s core objective of facilitating public participation and involvement in legislative processes, the Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development invites interested individuals and relevant stakeholders to submit written comments and indicate interest in making an oral submission on the Agricultural Product Standards Amendment Bill [B15 – 2021].
The Agricultural Product Standards Amendment Bill seeks to amend the Agricultural Product Standards Act, 1990, so as to insert definitions and substitute others; to provide for auditing of a product for management control systems; to make provision for the setting of tariffs by assignees on a costrecovery basis; to make further provisions for the Minister to make regulations pertaining to audit and management control systems; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
Written submissions must be directed to Ms Albertina Kakaza and be addressed to the Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, 3rd floor, 90 Plein Street, Cape Town 8000, e-mailed to PCALRRD@parliament.gov.za or faxed to 086 694 3529 by no later than Friday, 30 September 2022. In addition to the written comments, please indicate your interest in making a verbal presentation.
